Thanks for visiting my website. I’m a poet and a writer. My debut collection of poems—Gathering the Pieces of Days: A Year in Poetry—will launch in April 2025 from Unsolicited Press.

As an editor, I love punctuation, in particular, the semicolon. You can read all about my love of punctuation in my chapbook Punctuated (Bottlecap Press, 2024), where each poem is shaped like the mark of punctuation. My poetry has appeared more than one hundred times in online and print journals, and you can read some of it by following the links on the Publications page.

I write a Substack, LeeAnn’s Punctuated Poetry. I’d love to have you as a subscriber and reader. Each Sunday you’ll receive a poem and a few observations in your inbox that you can enjoy along with your coffee. Speaking of which, coffee is one of my favorite things.

In my professional life, I’m a freelance editor and Managing Editor of Jung Journal: Culture & Psyche. And on a personal note, I was born in Texas, but I moved to California in 1991, where I currently live in East Richmond Heights with my partner, Josh, and my two fabulous cats, Pookie and Chompie.

In 2026, Tsunami will be published by Unsolicited Press. The book is a series of vignettes about my experience during the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami.
